Terms & Conditions

1. Use of Voice Recordings

All voice recordings provided by Basil are licensed for use only within the agreed project scope (e.g. platform, duration, campaign, or medium).

Any additional use beyond what was agreed must be discussed and approved in writing.

2. AI & Voice Replication (Important)

Basil’s voice may not be:

Used to train AI models
Cloned, replicated, or synthetically reproduced
Edited or manipulated to simulate new performances

This applies to all current and future AI technologies.

Any attempt to replicate, imitate, or generate Basil’s voice using AI or similar tools is strictly prohibited.

3. Ownership & Rights

Basil retains full ownership of all original voice recordings.

Clients are granted a usage license, not ownership, unless otherwise explicitly agreed.

4. Credit & Attribution

Where reasonably possible, Basil must be credited for all voiceover work.

This may include:

Project descriptions
Video descriptions
Social media posts
End credits (where applicable)

5. Revisions & Edits

Reasonable revisions are included to ensure the final delivery meets the agreed brief.

Script changes after recording may incur additional fees.
Full re-records outside of the original brief may be treated as a new project.

6. Payment & Delivery

Final audio files will be delivered upon agreed payment terms.

Late payments may result in delayed delivery or suspension of usage rights.

7. Usage Restrictions

Basil reserves the right to refuse or withdraw services for content that is misleading, deceptive, offensive, discriminatory, harmful, or in conflict with the brand’s values.

8. Portfolio Use

Basil reserves the right to use completed projects for portfolio, showreels, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Character & Series Work

For character-based or ongoing series work, usage rights apply only to the agreed production (e.g. specific series, episodes, or season).

Voice recordings may not be reused, repurposed, or distributed outside of that production without prior written consent.

The character voice and performance remain the intellectual property of Basil and may not be replicated, imitated, or generated using AI or similar technologies under any circumstances.

10. Agreement

By working with Basil, you agree to these terms. If you’re unsure about anything, just ask.
If you’re planning to clone the voice, don’t.
