About
Hey! I'm Basil.
I'm a Voice Actor, MC, and Comedian based in Cork, Ireland.
This is my humble website.
There's not much here at the moment, but we can change that.
By choosing to work with Basil, you're choosing to work with local talent.
Your experience will be a lot more personalised and custom, but more importantly it will be human.
In a market that has become increasingly saturated with AI Vocals, I'm doing my part to bring back that human touch.
Because at the end of the day, everything is better with a little bit of Basil.
The Story
This is my dream, and I'm making it come true.
There's no deep origin, or deeply personal reason.
I've always been into art and animation. Never really had any talent for it though.
I was good at writing. So I tried to see if I could get into the industry that way, but that was a flop. I still wanted to get invovled with the media industry though.
And I remember I used to cycle home from school and I would just talk to myself in funny voices.
People would look at me like I was schizophrenic.
Turns out I was just a Voice Actor.
Everything you see here is self-built. The website, my recording set-up, editing skills. (Trust me, I don't have any money to pay people)
I have no connections, I don't have anything.
But I got a dream.
And we'll see if that's all I need to make this a reality.
